- Description
- The objective of this chapter is to provide a closing discussion of political, economic, and social imperatives that affect the policy-making decision process. These discussions concern the five key elements for effective decision-making: engagement; decision-relevant information; institutional design; tools for planning and policymaking; and resources. They are also linked to the lessons learnt from the case studies presented in the book and examine how the risk informed decision-making process may be applied and improved.
